5th Sunday of Easter

Bear much fruit and become my disciples...
Friday, May 7 will mark an important milestone in Fr. Markus' life; the 10 year anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.  Please join us in praying for continued blessings on his work and service to our faith community and beyond.

For the early Sunday mornings, the middle of the night calls, the wise counsel and advice, and for his patience, love, and sacrifice, we thank him!

We offer our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Peter Storre following his passing from this life. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
SUNDAY MASS
We will be offering Mass online each Sunday at 9:00 am while we are under this lockdown. Make it appointment viewing! It will be available on YouTube and our website any time after.

Our mission continues!  Great thanks to all for your continuing contributions, especially those who have signed up for recurring donations through our website.  We continue to need your support.  For those who prefer to donate through weekly envelopes, these can be dropped off at Mass on Sunday, or into the office mailbox (which is located just to the right of the school-facing side door of the office building)!

End-of-Semester Celebrations!

This past week, on Friday, the students threw a Zoom party to celebrate the end of exams and the end of the academic year. There were testimonies, games, a celebration of our graduating students, and more. But the party was not just a celebration for the end of study, stress, and work; it was a celebration of what God has done through the study ministry over the past year. The student leaders touched more lives this year through the Faith Study program than in any previous year: they organized and hosted numerous other programs and events, and they did all of it after being forced to pivot the entire ministry online. Their talents, efforts, and faithfulness have shown that even when our world takes us where we do not want to go, or when our hopes are frustrated, God will not be hindered or set back.

Congratulations to all the student leaders on a successful year, and congratulation too to our graduating class!
Last weekend our RCIA candidates (who are now fully initiated into the Church!) gathered one last time to celebrate together and share how they will continue to grow in the faith that has been handed on to them. Please continue to keep them in your prayers as they embark on this new era of their faith journey.
Thank you to Lucy from Main Street West Fortinos, who continues to share of her time and treasure with us, keeping our grounds beautiful with her contributions of new floral arrangements each season! And to Kathy who faithfully tends to them, keeping them thriving!

Cornerstone Project
The rectory is starting to resemble an actual living space! Some permanent railings are going in around the staircase!

Be sure to check out the website for more pictures of the progress!

If you would like to have a Mass celebrated for a special occasion, on behalf of a family member, a friend, or a deceased loved one, please contact the office to have that intention put into the calendar.

PARENTING TIP OF THE MONTH - Parenting Tip 130: COVID-19 continues to dominate and control much of our lives. All of this affects children, but since they take their cues from adults in their lives, we can help them to feel resilient. Remind them of how happy you are, despite all that, is happening that you are together as a family. Remind them of the beauty of nature that is all around for them to see and enjoy, that technology lets them connect with other family and friends and that through all of this we can continue to pray and ask for God’s blessings. When they hear anger and frustration, they feel worry and concern; when they hear optimism and calm, they also feel those emotions. Let us remind our children how much we love them; help keep them strong during the pandemic. From: Family Ministry Office.
FORGIVENESS: What is it and how do you do it? This Workshop identifies the stumbling blocks to forgiveness and provides practical methods to work through the anger, blame and resentment. Forgiveness is about letting go of the past and understanding it in order to move on. Forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
