Welcome Back! (Special Edition)

Welcome Back!
As a Senior Leadership Team we have been meeting to look at how we can come together as a community of faith in as safe a way as possible. We have already opened the doors for daily Mass this week and it is good to see those who have been able to attend, to ponder the Word of God together and receive Eucharist once again.
You will notice that some things have been adjusted. One change we would like to draw to your attention is that we are starting with 11:30 a.m. and 8:00p.m. Sunday masses only.
The numbers during the summer months for the Saturday evening vigil mass are generally lower with the students away.  Most in attendance would fit in the vulnerable category for this time of Covid 19 and we know many are wisely choosing to stay home.
We will continue to assess the situation as time goes on.  Confession is by appointment only and can be booked online. You can use ‘Anonymous’ if you prefer not to leave your name.
We ask you to check the website to keep updated. If you know of anyone from our faith community who is not connected to the internet, reach out to them and let them know what is happening.
Let us continue to keep one another in prayer as we move forward in faith and trust in this new moment.
BEFORE YOU COME:
Check your temperature!

Entrance is not permitted to those who have an elevated temperature or are suffering from cough, shortness of breath, undue fatigue, loss of appetite, muscle aches, runny nose, chills involving shakes, or loss of taste or smell.
If you are sick (in the slightest), you are kindly asked to stay home.

Self-isolate (if necessary)!

If you have travelled outside Canada within the past 14 days, please do not enter the church until you have completed the federally mandated period of self-isolation.

Get your mask!

You are strongly encouraged to wear a mask in the church. We are unable to provide you with a mask if you forget yours.

Use your facilities before leaving home!

Unfortunately, we do not have public washroom facilities available due to construction.

AS YOU ARRIVE:

Enter through the front doors, only!
At this time, entrance and exit will be through the front doors only. Please be sure to maintain a 6-ft distance between you/your household and anyone else while on church property (even outside).

Sanitize your hands!
As you enter the church, there will be two sanitizing stations. Please be sure to diligently sanitize your hands upon entering the church, and try to touch as little as possible throughout your visit.

Follow the directions of the ushers!
As much as possible, there will be someone to direct you to the section to sit it. If not, please look to the stickers on the floor and on the pews to determine where you sit, and the direction of traffic.

Look to the stickers for direction!
We have placed stickers on the floors to indicate 6 ft of distance and the flow of traffic. Please enter is up through the center aisle, and exit down through the side aisles.

IN THE CHURCH:

Check the pew stickers!
Every other pew (beginning with the first pew) will not be in use.
Please align yourself in the pew with the decal posted on the backrest of the pew.
On Sundays, both the front and back sections of the church will be used.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, seating for daily Mass is in the first 5 alternating rows at the front, on both sides.
Wednesdays and Fridays, daily mass seating moves to the back half of the church, in the last 4 alternating rows on both sides.

Receive Communion
Occupants of the first pew on the one side will proceed to communion first followed by the occupants of the first pew on the opposite side. This pattern of alternating sides by pew will continue throughout the reception of communion.
Please return to your pew by the side aisles.  At this time, communion can be received by the hand only, no exceptions.

Leave your offering upon departure.
Baskets are available at the back of the church for you to leave your Sunday tithe. Thank you for your generosity!

DEPARTING THE CHURCH:

Remain in your pew until directed to exit by the ushers.
Do not linger and socialize inside or outside of the church. We know and expect that you miss and want to connect with each other, but there is no way to do it safely at this time. Be sure to continue to maintain social distancing until you have departed.
