This summer we are excited to offer a "summer of service" for one of our student leaders. Juliana Markelj has accepted the position. She will be working on a part-time basis to help implement our Realm database and set up the new student centre. Welcome to the team Juliana!
Music is such an enriching part of life for so many of us. Music speaks a language to the heart like nothing else can! Especially within the Mass, music plays a powerful role in drawing our hearts to worship God through song alongside the Heavenly angels. At Canadian Martyrs, we very much value the gift that music can play in our experience and participation in the liturgy. As our community continues to grow and change, our music ministry continues to as well!

At this point in time, we are hoping to take a “Canadian Martyrs Music Inventory”. We’d like to know what type of musical gifts are alive within our community, and from there, see where the Holy Spirit might want to grow and expand our music ministry. Whether or not you’re interested in offering your musical gifts at Mass, we would love it if you’d fill out the following survey:
SURVEY
This is not a “sign-up” form, but simply an inventory of the musical gifts within our community. From there, depending on what we find through this survey, we will see where the Holy Spirit might want to shape the music ministry in the future.  Thank you so much for your time, and we hope you continue to develop your musical talents in worship of the Lord as the days go by!
SUNDAY MASS
Beginning today, May 23, Sunday Mass will be live-streamed at 10:00 am!

Join the community virtually, in experiencing Mass at Canadian Martyrs!
We will no longer be posting the homilies separately, but you can still watch them as part of the Mass. After they are live-streamed, they will remain on our Youtube page for a month.

There's something about consistency, and how comforting it can be. It's lovely to know that Lucy from Main St. West Fortino's is always considering Canadian Martyrs, and providing us with new floral arrangements. I love seeing what each new season brings!

Thank you, Lucy, and thank you to Kathy who regularly waters them and keeps them looking so lovely throughout the season!
Our mission continues!  Great thanks to all for your continuing contributions, especially those who have signed up for recurring donations through our website.  We continue to need your support.  For those who prefer to donate through weekly envelopes, these can be dropped off at Mass on Sunday, or into the office mailbox (which is located just to the right of the school-facing side door of the office building)!

This is a trio of benches near the Emerson entrance. What isn't really shown here is all the greenery that's been planted. By the end of the summer, they are going to be well-established and lush! It's kind of remarkable how much a little basic landscaping can really pull a place together.

The sod is newly laid, and in order for it to take, it needs to be well-watered. Thank you to the volunteers who are tending the new growth until the irrigation system is up and running!

Be sure to check out the website for more pictures of the progress!

If you would like to have a Mass celebrated for a special occasion, on behalf of a family member, a friend, or a deceased loved one, please contact the office to have that intention put into the calendar.
