FROM THE DIOCESE:
Bishop Crosby's latest Heart to Heart  • Anniversary Mass
We've reopened for public Masses as of February 17! Please see above for our Liturgy Schedule. We look forward to seeing you as soon as you feel comfortable returning to the church.

The office is still closed to visitors, but emails and voicemails will be monitored Tuesday through Saturday.

As before, the safety of all of our visitors is of the utmost importance to us, and we will be taking all necessary precautions to ensure that everyone who would like to, can attend Mass as safely as possible. We are undertaking stringent cleaning and sanitization, keeping our numbers at no more than 30% attendance, ensuring that everyone is physically distanced, and expecting that everyone who can wear a mask, does.

The parishes of the Diocese of Hamilton unite with our Bishop to pray for victims of sexual abuse across our country and around the world on the Second Sunday of Lent.  Please join us as we pray before the Exposed Blessed Sacrament for one hour on this day.  All are welcome!

PRAYER FOR VICTIMS OF ABUSE

Praise to you, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
source of all consolation and hope.
By your Sons’s dying and rising
he remains our light in every darkness,
our strength and every weakness. Be the refuge and guardian
of all who suffered from abuse and violence.
Comfort them and send them healing
for their wounds of body, mind, and spirit.
Rescue them from bitterness and shame
and refresh them with your love.
Heal the brokeness in all victims of abuse
and revive the spirits of all who lament this sin.
Help us to follow Jesus
in drawing good from evil, life from death.
Make us one with you in your love for justice
as we deepen our respect
for the dignity of every human life.
Giver of peace, make us one
in celebrating your praise,
both now and forever. Amen.

On this, the first Sunday of Lent, we invite you to make a commitment to read the Sunday scriptures before Mass throughout the season.

Fast from idle distraction, and feast on the word of God!

In this way, you can prepare to be fully engaged in Mass on Sunday, whether you attend in person, or continue to watch live-streamed, or pre-recorded Masses.
2020 Tax receipts are ready for pick up this weekend after Mass. Any that are not picked up this weekend will be mailed out.
Have you listened to last week's reflection?

We will have another one for you tomorrow!

Our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Kathleen Parker, an active member of our church, who passed away earlier this week. Please pray for her soul, that she may rest in the peace of Christ, and for her family, that they may be consoled by the faith and prayer of the Church.
Our mission continues!  Great thanks to all for your continuing contributions, especially those who have signed up for recurring donations through our website.  We continue to need your support.  For those who prefer to donate through weekly envelopes, these can be dropped off at Mass on Sunday, or to the office trailer mailbox, between 11 am & 4 pm, on Wednesdays or Saturdays.
This week the Chaplaincies of Waterloo/Laurier, Guelph, and McMaster joined together for a tri-chaplaincy winter retreat. The focus this year was St. Joseph. Students were given the opportunity to reflect on his life and his role in the Church. Many students are currently participating in the Consecration to St. Joseph, which also began this past week, and will end on the feast of St. Joseph, March 19.
Coming up this week! Join us to learn some practical ways to increase your own self-care, find ways of healing stress, and build resilience! Knowing how to navigate challenges successfully can help you survive and grow personally and spiritually!

Huge thanks to Sarah, Hannah, Mikha, Chelsea and Dani who cleaned the church from top to bottom in anticipation of reopening. The construction residue was everywhere but they persevered. No picture available, but Father Markus tackled the floors. Great job everyone preparing the house of the Lord as we begin Lent!
Can you guess what you're looking at here? These are the tiles for the bathrooms! What do you think? I for one, can't wait for the bathrooms to be done, and for the truck to come and pick up that portable toilet and haul it away never to be seen again... it's the little things.

Check out the other pics on our website of the building progress!
Part of the process of moving to the new build is updating and modernizing our systems. Currently, we are in the midst of transitioning to a new modern office phone system. You don't have to do anything different, you can still reach us at the same number as always (90-528-4632). However, it does mean the office can't currently be reached via text message, but we are working on getting that functionality back as soon as possible! As always, we will keep you updated on the progress of all the new exciting changes that are coming up! Stay tuned!
If you would like to have a Mass celebrated for a special occasion, on behalf of a family member, a friend, or a deceased loved one, please call the office to have that intention put into the calendar.
