Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday Mass commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, an event that both heralds his kingship and foreshadows his Passion. The liturgy began in the church hall with the blessing of the palms and a reading of the Gospel proclaiming Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Then began a joyful procession outside and around the church, as parishioners waved their palm branches and sang ‘All Glory Laud and Honour, re entering the church to continue the celebration of the liturgy. Together as a faith community, we listened to the Passion story, reflecting on Jesus’ humility and sacrificial love. This liturgy marks the solemn beginning of Holy Week, inviting us into a deeper journey of prayer, reflection, and preparation for the joy of Easter.
