Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday saw a reflective and prayerful start to Lent at Canadian Martyrs. The day began with a quiet 8:30 a.m. Mass. At 12:30 p.m., students from Canadian Martyrs Catholic Elementary School joined parishioners for a packed liturgy of around 200 people. The evening Mass at 6:00 p.m. drew an exceptional turnout, with standing room only as the faithful gathered to begin the season of Lent.
Fr. Gregory’s homily focused on renewing hope in this Jubilee Year, calling on the community to embrace the Lenten journey with faith and openness to God's mercy. He also introduced Luce the Pilgrim to the elementary students, a meaningful moment that connected them to the themes of pilgrimage and spiritual renewal.
