National Indigenous Rosary

Following the recent gathering of Indigenous Catholic leaders at Galilee Centre and on the land at Natagaama, a small group has been working on the mandate given to organize a National Indigenous Rosary Prayer time which we plan to inaugurate on the anniversary of the Canonization of St. Kateri Tekakwitha (October 21st).

This first Rosary Prayer will be led by 5 prayer leaders from across the country who will lead a decade in their own indigenous language.  We are invited to pray together that “all who live in this land, Indigenous and non-Indigenous may experience healing and reconciliation on a renewed journey of justice and peace for our children”. (Intention courtesy of Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle)

The Holy Rosary is a prayer that is common to all Catholics in this land and has been prayed for generations in every indigenous language.

Click below to register; a Zoom link will be sent out on Friday, October 20. We invite everyone to circulate this invitation through your own network so we will have a strong period of prayer together.
