On Sunday, April 14 as part of the 11:30 am Mass, Fr. Gregory will offer a Blessing and Commissioning for members of our university chaplaincy. At the Mass, next year’s student executive team will be commissioned with a special blessing, and all graduating students from our community will be blessed. This is an important time for us as a community to recognize the integral role that our students play in our faith community.

This commissioning is an acknowledgement that the students are ready to take their place in the world as faithful and responsible members of society.

The Blessing and Commissioning Mass is also an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the accomplishments of the students. It is a time to recognize the hard work and dedication that they have put in, their contributions to our faith community, and to offer our support and encouragement as they move forward.

As we commission our students out into the world, we do so with a sense of hope and optimism. We trust that they will use the gifts of faith that they have received here to make a positive difference in the world, and to be a source of God’s light and love wherever they go.
