Join us at the Spiritans Mission Appeals taking place at Canadian Martyrs Parish in Hamilton, on July 15th and 16th, 2023!
We, the Spiritans, are proud members of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost (Spirit), a Catholic Religious Order with its headquarters in Rome. Our Order has a rich history, originating in France in 1703, and today we are a community of over three thousand dedicated individuals.
Our mission takes us to more than sixty countries around the world, where we engage in diverse ministries such as education, parish work, refugee support, and hospital chaplaincy. As Spiritans, we have committed ourselves to serving the poor and marginalized, and we actively involve ourselves in situations where the Church faces challenges in finding ministers.
Our calling is to provide counsel and support to those who have been abandoned, oppressed, or excluded, particularly in developing countries. We strive to bring the message of Christ to those who have not yet had the opportunity to hear it.
During this weekend, we humbly request your support in sustaining our vital ministries. Your contributions will directly assist our seminarians in training, especially those in Africa, who are preparing to continue the missionary work. Additionally, we require resources to provide nourishment, education, and healthcare to the individuals we serve.
As Spiritans, we embrace the value of being present with the people we serve. We live among them, walk beside them, and form deep connections based on trust, respect, and love, whether for long-term or short-term commitments.
