Food Drive

  • Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church & Chaplaincy 1349 Main Street West Hamilton, ON, L8S 4M7 Canada (map)

During Lent, we are called to give alms to those in need. This can take many forms, but one of the most tangible ways to give is through donating food and goods. By donating non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, and household items, we can help ensure that those in need have basic necessities.

The Good Shepherd is a nonprofit organization that helps those who are experiencing poverty and homelessness. They provide a variety of services, including meals, shelter, and job training, to help people get back on their feet. However, they rely on donations from the community to continue their work.

When participating in a food and goods drive for the Good Shepherd, it is important to keep in mind the items that are most needed. Non-perishable food items such as canned fruits and vegetables, soups, and peanut butter are always in demand. Personal hygiene products like soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are also needed. Additionally, household items such as toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies can be a big help to those in need.

By participating in a food and goods drive for the Good Shepherd during Lent, we can help those who are less fortunate while also growing in our own spiritual journey. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, and this is one way to do just that. So, let's come together as a community and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Thank you to the CWL who is partnering with us on this drive!
