Updates in Euthanasia: Important Issues for Catholics to Know

  • Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church & Chaplaincy 1349 Main Street West Hamilton, ON, L8S 4M7 Canada (map)

The Canadian Martyrs Catholic Women's League (CWL) is proud to host an upcoming dinner and speaker event on the important and often controversial topic of Euthanasia. As one of the most pressing issues of our time, we believe that it is essential to explore and discuss this topic in a thoughtful and compassionate way.

All parishioners (and their guests) are welcome to this no-fee event!

Our dinner and speaker event will take place on March 4th, 2023, in Newman Hall here at Canadian Martyrs. We are honoured to have invited Dr. Moira McQueen, Director of the Canadian Catholic Bioethics Institute, to speak. The Institute, chaired by Cardinal Collins, has a mandate to conduct research and education in bioethics from a Roman Catholic perspective and pursues bioethical issues in palliative and end-of-life care and other current areas.

The evening will begin with a delicious dinner, homemade by the CWL. During her keynote address, Dr. McQueen will share her insights and expertise on the subject of Euthanasia, and provide a framework for understanding the complexities of this issue. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a thought-provoking conversation with Dr. McQueen.

We encourage you to RSVP in advance to ensure that you have a spot at this important event. We look forward to seeing you on March 4th for what promises to be an engaging and informative evening.
