Just like Mother Nature, we are still bringing the heat! We have two major events coming your way in the next week!

If you are a young adult, or know a young adult, you have to check out and share the details of the Tri-Chaplaincy Pilgrimage! We're bringing an incredibly interesting and charismatic speaker to town to address all young adults (not just university students)! If you want to get a sense of what to expect, check out the Podcast of the "The Lanky Guys." We promise you won't be disappointed. This is not your father's Pilgrimage! Buuuut, your father would probably dig it too.

TLDR; need the highlights? Here they are:
Tri-Chaplaincy Pilgrimage
• Alpha •  Feast of St. Thérèse  From the Diocese  Did you know?

This year Canadian Martyrs Chaplaincy has the privilege of hosting the annual Tri-Chaplaincy pilgrimage! Students from the universities of Waterloo, Guelph and McMaster, as well as young adults from our community will come together for formation, fellowship and prayer.

Our keynote speaker is Dr. Scott Powell, a scripture scholar, director of the Aquinas Institute for Catholic Thought, and co-host of the podcast "The Lanky Guys"!

The keynote is open to all young adults, and the evening will be a great opportunity to make new connections with others and to grow deeper in the faith!

See you there!!

THE FIRST-EVER NATIONAL CATHOLIC HEALTH CARE WEEK will be celebrated from Sunday, October 6th to Saturday, October 12, 2019.

Information from the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada has been sent to our Parishes so parishioners are informed about the gift of Catholic health care in Canada. The CHAC is promoting an Awaken initiative, which gives insight into the history and blessing of Catholic health care.

In the Hamilton Diocese, we are eternally grateful for the great legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph – the St. Joseph Health Care System!

THE ARCHDIOCESE OF TORONTO IS SPONSORING AN ALL CANDIDATES’ DEBATE prior to the upcoming federal election! The event on October 3rd will be moderated by political journalist, Don Newman. Although tickets have been distributed already, there is an opportunity to view the debate via live-stream. The link can be made through the St. Michael’s Cathedral website. It promises to be a very interesting evening – especially for Catholic voters!

To learn more about the harmony of faith and reason, look up some other scientific discoveries in the history of the Catholic church!

This week, keep Fr. Markus in your prayers while he is on his annual retreat in Chicago. He'll be returning on October 5th.
