A Special Promise of Mercy

Our Lord's promise to grant complete forgiveness of sins on the Feast of Mercy is recorded three times in the Diary of Saint Faustina, each time in a slightly different way:
"I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy..." (1109).
"Whoever approaches the Fountain of Life on this day will be granted complete forgiveness of sins..." (300).
"The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion will obtain complete forgiveness of sins..." (699).

McMaster Ecumenical Chaplaincy Centre
Vigil of Lamentation and Solidarity for Sri Lanka

In light of the egregious attacks against Christians in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, and in the Philippines at the Jolo cathedral bombing earlier this year, the Chaplaincy Centre of McMaster is holding a public Vigil of Lamentation and Solidarity on Wednesday, May 1st at 11:45 a.m. on campus in Mills Square outside of the Mills library.

This is an opportunity to come together with our broader community, and we encourage everyone to attend as we pray for and stand with the victims and survivors of these atrocities.
