For the inaugural Going Deeper: Living the Spiritual Life yesterday evening, we enjoyed a great presentation by Fr. Gregory on Emotions and the Spiritual Life.  We explored the emotions Jesus experienced during his earthly ministry, how the Catechism calls us to see emotions as an aspect of our lives as Christians, and how we can bring our own emotions to the Lord in trust and in faith.  Through sharing and prayer we learned how our emotions are a fundamental part of our humanity, and that when we center them in Christ they can help us grow in love to become the people God calls us to be.
