Community Potluck

This past Tuesday, October 22, we had the pleasure of hosting a community potluck at Canadian Martyrs. It was an opportunity for members of the Chaplaincy and broader Canadian Martyrs community to gather, share delicious homemade dishes, and enjoy some time together as a community. We were blessed to have Bishop Crosby join us for the evening, adding a special touch to an already great event. Before dinner, we had Mass with Bishop Crosby as the guest presider. In his homily, he shared with us a reflection about St. John Paul II, and how the process of burning is a symbol of spiritual journey. We love to see how events like these bring people together, fostering that strong sense of community that makes Canadian Martyrs so unique.

What made the evening even more special was the Night Prayer that followed. Bishop Crosby mentioned how impressed he was with the number of people who stayed to participate. It was a beautiful, peaceful way to conclude the evening, with everyone joining in prayer together.

We’re so grateful to all who brought dishes and to those who attended. It was truly a memorable evening, and we look forward to more opportunities to gather and grow as a community!
