Ministry Call!

We are excited to invite members of our community to volunteer with us at Canadian Martyrs. We have a variety of opportunities available, but most critically, we need to fill collection counter, alter server and lector roles.

Collection counting is a vital role, as it helps us to accurately track the donations and offerings that are given by our congregation. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can help us count the collections each week (usually Thursday afternoons, but we’re open to your availability). This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get more involved in the community.

Lectoring is another important volunteer opportunity that we have available. As a lector, you will have the opportunity to read scripture during Mass. This is a great way to deepen your faith and connect with other members of the congregation. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable speaking in public and have a love for the word of God.

As altar server, you will assist the priest during the liturgy, helping to create a reverent and prayerful atmosphere. You’ll be responsible for various tasks such as preparing the altar and carrying the cross and candles.

These volunteer opportunities are a great way to give back to your community and make a positive impact. Training is provided, and you can volunteer as much or as little as your schedule allows.
