Beach Day!

On August 13th, the McMaster Catholic Chaplaincy joined together for an end-of-summer celebration at Binbrook Conservation Area! The weather was beautiful and the day was filled with faith, fellowship and FUN! It was lovely to see so many faces, both new and old!

The day started around noon–students began setting up the potluck and playing in the water and sand. Many developed sun burns throughout the day, but in addition to this (and perhaps more importantly) the students’ hearts burned with the fire of the Holy Spirit (their words not mine).

As sunset approached, many spiritual conversations were had and some students even gathered in the water to sing hymns together! It was a necessary day of reconnecting with the community and with the Lord–a time of prayer and fellowship. What a perfect way to end the summer and jump into the new school year.
