Thank you, farewell, and best wishes!

As you may have already heard, Father Markus has been assigned to St. Clement’s Parish in Cambridge, where he will continue to share, with this new community,  his many gifts in his role as shepherd. Seven years ago, he came to Canadian Martyrs, and under his care, our church and chaplaincy have flourished into an exciting and vibrant community of faith, joined together in our mission to invite, form and send disciples of Jesus Christ.

Fr. Markus's last day as pastor and chaplain here at Canadian Martyrs will be towards the end of June. We can appreciate that many of you will want to wish Fr. Markus well, and we plan to have a gathering. Stay tuned for those details as they become available.

Over the next couple of months, let us prepare ourselves for the transition, and pray for Father's continued well-being in his new role. Let us also pray for our new Pastor, Fr. Gregory Ogorzalek, and welcome him into his new role here at Canadian Martyrs!  Ordained 15 years ago, Fr. Gregory served as Spiritual Director at the Seminary in Lublin, Poland, and has been associate pastor at St. Paul the Apostle in Burlington for the past year.

It is bittersweet to have to say goodbye to Fr. Markus, but we know that God's plans are greater than ours. We trust that His loving presence goes with Father Markus on this next step in his journey. May he continue to grow in holiness as he serves the people as Pastor at St. Clement’s.
