Interchaplaincy Olympics

This past Wednesday, the Interchaplaincy Olympics took place at York University and was hosted by Catholic Chaplaincy at York (@ccychaps). Around 40 students from various Chaplaincies (UTM, UTSC, TMU, Waterloo, York) showed up to compete! There was an amazing turnout from McMaster Chaplaincy students, with 15 athletes coming from various hometowns over the reading week to rep-re-SENT.

The morning began with Ultimate Frisbee and Capture the Flag, we stopped for a delicious pizza lunch (graciously provided by the York Chaplaincy). We prayed the Rosary together following lunch, for the intention of Fr. JP, who was in the hospital at the time. The sporty afternoon continued on with some heated games of soccer and volleyball.

We wore our maroon with pride! We may not have been the most athletic, but we were the most spirited and this is what led us to win both in Capture the Flag and Soccer! (We also had a close volleyball game, but alas we lost to the others.) All in all, it was a fantastic day of fellowship, prayer, and there were great displays of teamwork!
