The "Last" Supper...
… of the semester!
Coming out of the pandemic lock-downs, the Chaplaincy centre embarked upon a new initiative: weekly undergrad“family” dinners. It’d been a lot of work, planning, prepping, and having a weekly dinner, but it has been incredibly worthwhile in so many ways. With a focus on fellowship, and simply being together as a faith community, it has been a wonderful experience for the students, but also for the greater community, as we all pulled together to have these dinners. The response from people asking if they could just help out has been so encouraging, and we welcome the help!
The last dinner of the semester took place this last Thursday, and was the highest attended of all, with over 50 people! Special thanks to the student leaders of the McMaster Chaplaincy who were the engine behind this, to the CWL who hosted a number of the dinners — and this last one in particular — and to everyone who supported these events, be it serving, setting up, or cleaning up!
