Remembrance Day Ceremony
Each Remembrance Day, the community gathers in a solemn ceremony hosted by St. George’s Anglican Church on Emerson, where we honour the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedoms. This annual ecumenical ceremony brings together members of local faith communities and residents to reflect and remember.
For several years now, Canadian Martyrs has been represented by John Kiss, a dedicated parishioner who faithfully lays a wreath at the cenotaph on our behalf. This year, John will also be reading the names of the fallen, paying tribute with reverence and gratitude. Joining him will be Deacon Andrew, who will be there as a representative of our parish, standing with our community in a spirit of unity and remembrance.
We invite any parishioners who feel called to come together for this meaningful ceremony. It’s a moment to stand as one, in gratitude and remembrance for those who gave everything for the greater good. Let’s join together in prayer, honouring their legacy and pledging our commitment to peace.
